The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff’s training, professional credentials and work experience.

Ronald Huffman, D.D.S.
Dr. Huffman, dentist and owner of the practice, graduated with honors in 1989 from the University of Illinois - College of Dentistry at Chicago, preceded by honors undergraduate studies at Eastern Illinois University. He then served a term with the United States Navy Dental Corps, during the Gulf War, where he received accolades and awards for his quality and efficient dentistry. Following, Dr. Huffman practiced in Chicago and the Northwest suburbs before opening Century Dental in 1998. He transformed the practice from a three staff office to a great team of 23 employees with such grand patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American College of Implantology, McHenry County Dental Society, and is Assistant Chief of Staff at Sherman Hospital.

In his spare time he enjoys golfing, fishing, outdoor sports, and spending time with family and friends.  

Laurita Lukas, D.D.S.
Dr. Lukas completed her undergraduate studies at Western Illinois University in Macomb and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from University of Illinois - College of Dentistry at Chicago. She has over 25 years of experience and continuing education in general, esthetic, and restorative dentistry. For 17 years she practiced in and around the Dundee and Elgin areas. Dr. Lukas is a member of the American Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the McHenry County Dental Society.

In her spare time she enjoys biking, golfing, reading, and traveling.

Katherine Hauf, D.D.S.
Dr. Hauf is a 2006 graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, following her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Drake University in Des Moines. During her post-graduate studies Dr. Hauf was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, assisted with research including some in conjunction with the genome project, won several awards for her work, and presented at the International Association for Dental Research. Dr. Hauf enjoys all phases of dentistry and is certified in Invisalign. She is a member of the Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and American Dental Association.

Outside of the office she enjoys cooking and spending time with family.

Peter Troyan, D.M.D.
Dr. Troyan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with honors with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School in Alton. His foundation is in general and cosmetic dentistry, elective and emergency oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. He is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. Most recently he obtained a fellowship degree through the International College of Oral Implantology.

Bhairavi Sheth, D.M.D.
Dr. Sheth completed her undergraduate studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She graduated with honors from Temple University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She graduated with honors from Temple University in Philadelphia where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree.

She is skilled in all phases of dentistry and is currently working to obtain a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Sheth is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
